During earthquakes people either go with another person, or follow a crowd or go alone outside the street or remain inside the buildings. One can either do nothing or remain in place, protect oneself by doing the duck-cover-and-hold-on, crawl, walk or run to safety. Sometimes people go towards dangerous areas to rescue a love-one or family member. Young people are faster or more mobile than older people. Evacuation in a group of varying ages tend to be slower.
