About
Welcome to the website of the research: multi-agent modeling of seismic crisis. The research integrates informatics and the social sciences to develop realistic models and simulations of human behaviour during seismic crisis. We adopt a a multi-disciplinary strategy utilizing agent based modelling, geographic information systems and serious games.
RESEARCH QUESTION: Does social attachment have an effect on vulnerability and evacuation efficiency during seismic crisis?
The objectives of the research are:
Keywords: mobility, pedestrians, crisis, earthquake, modeling, simulation, multi-agents and serious games

RESEARCH QUESTION: Does social attachment have an effect on vulnerability and evacuation efficiency during seismic crisis?
The objectives of the research are:
- to develop a multi-agent model to simulate pedestrian mobility following an earthquake;
- measure evacuation effectiveness;
- assess peoples risk of exposure and security based on individual behaviors; and
- evaluate current or future crisis management and information plans
Keywords: mobility, pedestrians, crisis, earthquake, modeling, simulation, multi-agents and serious games
